Clinique self sun fake tan
The suns out which means legs out, the first appearance of the year is never the best so if like me you would rather boil in jeans than be seen with your milk bottle whites out then you probably should invest in a good self tan.
Self tans are a great way to give you an immediate glow so you can go out with your legs out and hope to catch a real tan whilst your at it.
Self tans are notorious for bad smells, orange colour and difficult application, I have tried a lot of these!
My latest purchase was Clinique's self sun body tinted lotion in light/medium £19 and Clinique self sun face tinted lotion £18 (I always use a tan specifically for the face as I don't want to clog up my pores).
Always exfoliate first. This doesn't have to be a messy chore, exfoliating gloves with your usual shower gel does the trick (concentrate on those dry areas hands, feet, knees and elbows) follow with moisturiser on these dry areas (I always put lotion on my hands to act as a barrier). use a mitt and apply starting at legs working your way up, no need to rub in just smooth on for a streak free finish(you can use circular or stroking movements) wait 15mins dry time before getting dressed and your be looking like you've had a few days off in the sun.
The colour is natural and subtle which gives a nice glow and no orange tinge, the product comes out as a slightly shimmered bronze gel so you can see where your applying. It is easily absorbed into the skin, it has a very light clean aroma (no biscuit smell). The face tan however has a slightly creamier consistency and a very strange metallic smell which I did not enjoy but the colour and application are good and easy so I am willing to put up with it! Both products give instant colour whilst fully developing in a few hours so no messy over night application and messy bed sheets!
This product is 100% fragrance free dermatologist tested, oil free and non-comedogenic.
