Acti-Labs make up
I love natural make up and have been a very happy user of mineral make up for many years now.
As I have always had a problematic skin I have always been careful in selecting the right skincare to keep my skin balanced and I see make up as an extension of my skincare.
I had been invited to like a page from a seller on Facebook and always being interested in new brands and what's new, I accepted.
After looking at the online catalogue and reading about the brand and ethos (which is as important to me as the product itself) I realised this is a brand I really connect with. I love their slogan 'using science to get the best out of nature'. Acti-labs is a French brand lab which was awarded a French department of environment award for low carbon footprint, they do not conduct animal testing and the packaging and production process has been carefully selected to be as eco friendly as possible.
I was just coming to end of my usual mineral foundation So I thought I would order the High definition liquid foundation, and always in need of a new mascara I also ordered the Skyscraper mascara.
The High definition foundation £11.50 has an acne taming formula of green tea, Calendula, Chamomile, Cornflower, Linden, Vitamin E and St Johns Wort.
This is the only foundation I have used since BareMinerals that I have not had an acne flare up with. Its easy to use in a pump bottle, I use a mac foundation bush to apply and I do have a blending sponge.
I have been using the colour Chaps-Elysees which is now getting a bit dark for this time of year so I have just ordered Pompidou.
Having an exceptionally oily skin I have also purchased the Translucent pressed powder £16.50 which helps to reduce shine but does not make my make up look heavy, it gives a breathable coverage with ingredients including Zinc, Jojoba oil and vitamin E.
The Skyscraper Mascara £8.50 is a botanically based mascara which structurally supports your lashes whilst nurturing them to look and feel their best with the key ingredients of Beeswax, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C. it only comes in black and has a nice med/small bristle brush to brush and volumise your lashes, I had great results with just one coat but 2 coats look great on a night out.
The price point of these products and the ethos and ingredients has put this on my new favourites list and i'm sure ill enjoy trying out some more of the products on offer.
