This cleanser is non foaming, so although it comes out like a gel wash it doesn't lather up, which feels weird at first but it definitely prevents your skin feeling tight or squeaky. It removes make up from your skin (not on your eyes), i usually do a double cleanse, one to remove make up and 2nd cleanse to remove any oil or dead skin cells they may block my pores. It has gentle enzyme exfoliants to breakdown dead skin cells from the surface leaving you feeling fresh and clean without stripping the skin. It has a light fresh aroma of grapefruit and papaya. It is gentle enough so is good for all skin types.
The moisturiser is lightweight which is great for my oily skin, but feels hydratIng enough to combat the tightness associated with dehydration (lack of water in the skin). It has an anti oxidant formula making it ideal for combination skin types.
Vitamin C in skincare is so important as our skin needs vit c to produce collagen and elastin so you find this in a lot of anti ageing products. its great for brightening the skin too so look out for this ingrediant if your skin needs a radiance boost. I usually use a vitamin C serum but its an expensive ingredient as its hard to keep it in its most stable and effective form but this ingredient works wonders on uneven skin tones so is worth every penny.
Mario Badescu products are cruelty free and are reasonably priced so wont break the bank, allowing you to try more than one product. There are ready made kits available in trial sizes too which is a great way to see if you like the product before commiting to a larger size. The kits have the product range already paired together for your skin type making it easier to select the correct products for you. The philosophy is simple , gentle and effective skincare. The brand has been going for over 50 years and is based in the US. I found these products on WWW.beautybay.com, I am looking forward to trying out some new products from the brand. The face spritz and masks look lovely and I bet they smell great too. I dont like anything too fake or over powering and this range is exactly as it says it is, simple yet effective.
