Mascara the LBD of the make up world
This is one of those 'desert island' key pieces of make up that completes any look from daytime to evening.
I call it the LBD of the make up world as we wouldn't be dressed without it.
A new design from every brand promises to be the best new innovation giving you the curliest, longest, most volumised lashes, with no clumps and smudge free!? Not to mention all day staying power yet easy removal!
I think it's safe to say when it comes to mascara we want it all. So it's no wonder this is the least loyal piece of make up in our make up bags. I have my favourite brand foundations, my staple colour lipsticks, my trusted pencil eyeliner, but when it comes to mascara loyalty is out the window! each time my mascara runs out (you should change mascara every 3 months to avoid eye infections) I'm faced with the same dialema of what one to try next. Needless to say I still haven't found the perfect mascara that lives upto my expectations but in truth I'm not sure I ever will as I think we expect it to do too much! This is why most of us tend to use more than one to achieve our desired result.
Above are a few of my favourites: LancĂ´me for me are at the forefront of design and technology when it comes to mascara and these will always be in my top 5 especially the ' hypnose drama' £22.50.
MAC mascara a have always been a little disappointing for me but I do like the 'haute & naughty' £19 which has a double top with 2 brush effects so you can build on lash length without clumping.
As a fan of bare minerals I thought why not try a natural mascara as my lashes were feeling a bit dry and lacklustre from all the chemical based mascaras I was using so I tried the flawless definition curl and lengthen mascara £17 which did exactly what it said on the tin (well, tube) and felt like it gave my lashes a healthy condition.
Ojon maybe best known for its haircare but this double ended restorative lash treatment mascara infused with ojon oil £21 boosts lash condition and gives a non clumping slick of deep black to your lashes.
What are your favourite mascaras? Do you have to use more than one to get your desired look?
