Summer hair: Beach waves

 

If only we could get that "natural beach wave" look from merely just relaxing on the beach and dipping into the sea occasionally to cool off whilst sipping sangria on a sunlounger!

 In truth the undone natural look takes more time and effort than a sky-scraping bridal up-do, but as we don't all have the valuable commodity of time iv tried a few quick fixes to cheat our way to beach babe hair that will impress even the coolest of surf dudes on or off the beach.

1st a fresh start, no matter how little time you have we can all spray in a bit of the legendary batiste dry shampoo. Now available in so many fragrances and styles anyone of them will work the magic in seconds to turn your lank greasy locks into volumised fresh looking hair that you can actually begin to style.
If your hair is particularly flat add this xxl powder into the roots, tap in the powder and massage your roots with finger tips for extra lift (this is not a style for those of you that like to run your fingers through your hair) both items are under £5 each, such a small price for such a dramatic difference.

2nd the well documented surf spray by bumble and bumble at £21.50 is a little more pricey but I had to try it as every magazine iv read from april to now has advertised this so my expectations where high. This was a little too drying for my hair (and that's saying something!) and even though I love a surf spray I have been more satisfied with cheaper versions like the lee stafford sea salt spray at just £6.99.
As with any surf spray just spray onto wet hair scrunch in or twist large sections with your hands and leave to dry, rough out with your fingers to finish.

3rd and last try bb dry spun finish £22 gives a fierce spray of air and dry product kind of like "wind with staying power" to blow your tresses in a natural way like a large gust of wind that contained hairspray! use this to finish your natural beach waves.

Or finish with my personal all time favourite Aveda air control, I use this to finish all styles as it smells gorgeous (yes I know usually we wouldn't go round sniffing hairspray) it has a fine mist with a medium flexible hold £20 that looks natural and not stiff, no one wants helmet hair!
