Little Ondine natural nail varnish
I was very excited to find out such a product existed, a natural nail polish? Really? Little ondine is chemical free, aroma free, quick drying and peel off. I couldn't be happier to have found an alternative that means no more astringent nail polish remover melting my red varnish staining my cuticles and leaving my nails feeling dry.
I totally fell in love with the simple yet innovative design of the card box it came in too!
The colour I chose is called 'lava' a deep red ready for autumn. The colour looks rich and vibrant, good choice.
The brush is a great size and softness to make application easy (I do hate it when you have a hard brush that leaves streakes in the nails,as if painting isn't hard enough already!)
I followed the application process that was recommended on the instructions, remove oil from nails, 2-3 coats of colour, no top or base coat, easy!
The varnish felt a bit more watery than the traditional varnishes but that's to be expected as it's made from mostly water and natural resins. Did I mention it's also vegan friendly.
So does it work? Yes it does, you don't need top and base coat, it has no aroma (really none at all) it is fast drying, 2 coats in under 5 minutes. The finish is really shiny, I was impressed.
The one negative would be Staying power. This is the only downside to it, I found the ends peeling up after a day of the usual day to day stuff you do with 2 kids. But as it peels off with no mess or damage to your nails And there's hardly any drying time, I don't mind painting them more frequently, as the process isn't such a lengthy chore.
At £8.40 each (+£2p&p) and such a vast array of gorgeous colours I will definitely be back for more.
And as they are natural i can now indulge my 3 year old in a manicure treat without having to worry about harsh chemicals on her delicate skin.
