September birch box birthday time!

Happy birthday to birch box now 5 years old already, where has the time gone? I still think of these beauty box subscriptions as a new thing! 

Also happy birthday to me a few more years older than birch box im afraid to say! I'm lucky enough to not have any wrinkles yet and still get the odd breakout due to my oily skin but hey if this slows down the ageing of my skin then I can deal with a spot or 2! 

So the box this month was pretty impressive with more travel sizes than sample size's so that will always be a bonus. With a total of 7 items including birch boxes own tangle teaser style brush the box was jam packed with goodies.

Last month I received a hair oil by beauty protector which smelt so gorgeous I instantly fell in love with it, so you can imagine how pleased I was to find beauty protector body wash in this months box and that it smells exactly the same! I hadn't heard of Beaty protector as a brand before but after checking out there website i discovered they are a haircare brand that's states they are a 

'niche brand dedicated to preventing and healing the negative consequences of overstyling',if all the products smell this great I'll definitely be buying more.

The laqua&co cheek and lip pencil in 'cray cray' went strait into my hand bag as this is a great size to carry around for on the go touch ups for cheeks and lips the coral colour gives a fresh daytime glow. 

I'm a lover of benefit products the packaging and clever names get me every time, so I was pleased to find the pore professional stick in my loot, I do find it slightly lacking in the user friendly department as it does feel it takes my make up off if I don't blot blot blot super carefully, but as I do have a shine problem I will defiantly be taking time to perfect on the application. 

The tanning body cream was not a winner for me due to its cheap smell and watery consistency, sorry!

 I'm still looking forward to trying the Laura mercier face scrub and the John masters detangler.

I love the balloon box design which I chose, great to have options! 

The box is now holding all my travel sizes ready for my holidays and all my jewellery is now very organised and protected by the cloth bags!
