December birch box

I have taken so long to get this blog out, Iv been wanting to write for so long but with Christmas at home with 2 children, (one that was also very poorly over the festivities) time run away with me and here I am writing about Decembers birch box in January!
This is my first blog of 2016 so happy new year to you all!
The sleek little parcel that came in the post was not the usual box style of recent months which I don't know if I was pleased or not to see it replaced with a mini clutch bag/purse? I have come accustomed to opening my box of goodies and getting just as excited to fill it with whatever little homeless objects I have been trying to organise away as I have to see what is in the actual box!
Will I use a freebie clutch that's been advertised all over social media for the past month? Probably not. But I do think it was a generous gift and a nice thought so maybe I will find a good use for it in the near future (thinking about it it would make a nice make up brush bag).
So things I liked in the bag;
benefit puff off eye cream and they're real push up liner. When I took the lid off the eyeliner I couldn't work out the rubbery applicator, I had to read the instructions to pinch the sides, then I saw the black gel liner appear, I thought this was strange but went to use the liner as I would a normal liner and to my surprise it worked really well! I got liner closer to my lash line giving me fuller looking lashes! a differerent idea that seemed a bit gimmicky but interestingly really works!
As a fan of a red lip I try to change the shade from pinky red in summer to a berry red in winter so I was extremely pleased to find modelCo ultra long lasting lipstick in Smitten in the bag. It has a semi Matt finish, feels hydrating and smells of coconut, amazing/win win!
Ciate paint pot in white heat,great for French manicure or for all over nail (when Iv done a tan) if last sumners trend rolls over to the new year.
Rituals T'ai chi foaming shower gel smells like a perfume but isn't over powering and feels more nourishing than I expected from a foam.feels nice to use this on special occasions when actually going 'out out'.
Embryolisse is not a brand i have heard of before but I like to try new face moisturisers and at £12.99 rrp it defiantly feels more expensive than the modest price tag.
Who is Catherine Malandrino? I don't know but the Style de Paris Eau de parfum was high up on my Christmas list. With sophisticated fruity notes of mandarin, red grapefruit and pear even my husband was impressed.
