January blues or fresh start? 

How do you look at the 1st month of the new year? 

I like to be positive and think of it as a fresh start, I don't do New Years resolutions but I do try to start the year in a way I mean to carry on. Focused and motivated. 

Forget January blues as my birch box landed at my door with the message BEST. YEAR.EVER. I instantly felt motivated. Although it's my last month of maternity leave and the end of the most amazing chapter of my life I am looking forward to what a new year can bring, a new job, a new routine and lots of new memory's to make with my now complete family.

 I must say the box design is my favourite so far too. Inside the box are some really cute postcards with beauty inspired uplifting captions, I'm definitely going to pin these to my mirror and my black board to keep me on track. 

The compact mirror was a nice touch too and will always come in handy for the last minute eyebrow tidy or lipstick application.

As a fan of the fragrance beauty protector use in their products I am loving the hair protect and de tangle  spray as it keeps my hair smelling Devine all day as well as minimising frizz.

The cleansing water by absolution is quick and easy to use but no different to any other high street brands currently on the market for a fraction of the price.

Which products unfortunately as I had the tanning moisturiser in a box before and like this almond body butter it feels and smells cheap and just doesn't do it for me. 

Iv never had the pleasure of using Any jelly ping pong products before so I was looking forward to using the lighten up brightner which is a great multi tasking product with an off white colour, with no shimmer and soft consistency. It is great to use in the eye water line to brighten your eyes or under your brows to give an instant lift and to highlight your cheekbones. 

My favourite item in this months box is benefits they're real tinted primer for your lashes. Just one coat under your mascara boots the length and volume with no clumping, you can even wear it alone for a natural look.
